About the Business
Koda Aero is the business persona of Vance Harral, a Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor, and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner.
Vance hails from a multi-generation aviation family, dating back to his grandfather's time flying ranch land in West Texas, his father's service as a combat fighter pilot in the United States Air Force, and he and his brothers' avocation and profession in modern-day General Aviation.
Today, Vance offers Private/Instrument/Commercial/Multiengine flight instruction, aircraft ferry services, ownership consulting on topics including aircraft acquisition, avionics upgrades, and maintenance strategies, and DPE Checkrides for Private, Instrument, and Commercial certification.
About The Namesake
Koda was the family Alaskan Malamute. Gone West shortly before launching the business, but forever remembered. In truth, Koda was a complicated soul. Handsome, strong, smart, and loyal; but also mischievous when unregulated, and sometimes dangerous when stressed. In other words, like an aviator of old, and a fitting namesake for our business. Please enjoy these pictures of Koda with our family.
